Hi everyone
I have windows xp professional sp3 and windows media player 11. I am not aware that with my system i can use anything beyond wmp11.
I an a filmmaker who doesn't use macs (i really dislike them). As such have hundred of video files, both my own and from friends, colleagues, and clients. I am *REALLY* trying to organize my files and wanted to add metadata to this videos so that I may search for them by category, genre, and names of people who were involved in production. I sought to facilitate this using the metatags like 'comments' and'keywords' etc. I thought this was a rather simple procedure - just right click on the file and change the properties.
I've tried everything that came to mind and spent 3 hours researching this issue with NO results at all! Every awnser I've seen here so far does not help me. Unless I'm really missing something.
I've imported the video files into my library. I cannot get the 'Advanced Tag Editor' to show up with movie files. I get it only with audio files. I downloaded abcavi editor, and that doesn't do anything, I still can't search for the files and when I right click on them and look at their properties, they remain grayed out. I used adobe bridge (cs4) and the meta data in that application only works when you are using it. i don't want to have to ramp up bridge and sacrifice memory just to do a task that should be simple and accessible using my os.
any help is truly greatly supremely appreciated.
